The story behind Albert Brooks changing his name to Alita Emma

Albert Brooks changed his name from Albert Einstein to Alita Emma because he was a huge Spice Girls fan, particularly of Emma (Baby Spice). He asked his teacher to call him Emma in second or third grade, but it didn't stick. When he had the opportunity to change his name permanently, he chose Emma because of his childhood admiration for Baby Spice. He also mentioned meeting the Spice Girls and receiving a special signed t-shirt from one of the members.
