The Balance of Holding On and Letting Go
In order to navigate the complexities of life, it's important to hold on to certain beliefs and principles while also being open to letting go when necessary. Steve Jobs, known for his strongly held beliefs held loosely, exemplified this approach. He would wholeheartedly pitch an idea, but if he realized it was wrong, he would readily discard it. This ability to hold on tightly and let go demonstrates a balance that can be challenging to achieve. Similar to Pixar directors, Jobs understood the importance of commitment and the willingness to move on when things don't work out. His force of personality made his commitment overpowering. Ultimately, finding this equilibrium is key in making progress and embracing change.
