NOTE

The Significance of the Fibonacci Sequence in Nature and History

The Fibonacci sequence, starting with 1, 1, is prevalent in nature, often associated with the spirals of sunflowers, pinecones, and shells. This sequence, popularized by Leonardo Pizano in the 13th century, is not a creation of his, but was named after him due to the sequence being discussed in his book. The sequence is derived by adding the two previous numbers to produce the next one, resulting in 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, and so on. Although the sequence is not his creation, Pizano's contribution to popularizing Hindu Arabic numerals in Europe solidified his reputation as a math genius.
