Builders and Persuaders
- Successful teams often consist of a persuader and a builder.
- The persuader, like Steve Jobs or Elon Musk, convinces people to join their cause, often abandoning logic to follow a new, contrarian idea.
- The builder, like Steve Wozniak, lives in the future and deeply understands the technical aspects, creating and innovating with others.
- Leaders usually possess persuasive storytelling abilities to rally people around a cause many may initially disagree with.
- The persuader's skills can override logic (e.g. reality distortion field). The builder creates through technical tradeoffs and future vision.
