Charismatic leadership is often attributed to leaders after the perception of group success, rather than being the initial cause of success. People tend to perceive leaders as charismatic after being impressed by the group's success. This dynamic was evident in the case discussed, where individuals were drawn to Keith Renary's work through a trusted acquaintance who had produced a spiritually meaningful film. The initial trusted relationship made individuals more susceptible to Keith's program, even though they acknowledged that if they had encountered Keith separately, they wouldn't have been interested.
