The edge really provides a whole new deployment paradigm also for the front-end world. We have worked with Cloudflare teams to enable Prisma client usage inside of versatile edge functions and Cloudflare workers so that's possible however you will have to use an additional component in there called the Prisma data proxy. It has a connection pool to kind of scale the connections of your database and it also makes the requirements for Prisma client that's actually running inside of the edge function a lot lighter. The heavy lifting of what's usually done inside of Prisma client inside your regular node application is now moved to the data proxy, Scott says.
