AI creativity is experiencing a renaissance with tools like dolly and stable diffusion for generating art and GPT-4 for writing poetry and fiction./nAI models can assist humans in being more creative by generating unique and compelling images./nThere is a distinction between training an algorithm on the output of a creative process and developing an algorithm that embodies that creative process./nWhile image generation models can fit the human-generated data they are trained on, human art generation has no end and can adapt to new forms and styles./nTo enable AI models to autonomously create art, insights from open-endness need to be integrated into these algorithms.
