Hardware to Save a Planet

NOTE

Efficient Hydrogen Storage and Release

A novel liquid carrier technology developed by the speaker and their co-founder enables high-density hydrogen storage at 55 kilograms per cubic meter, more efficient than most existing methods without requiring costly tanks. This liquid carrier system ensures safety by preventing hydrogen leakage and boiling off, making it comparable to storing diesel. The process involves a reverse reaction to extract hydrogen from the carrier oil, which can be recycled continuously. Unlike competitors using thermocatalysis at high temperatures and pressures, this system utilizes electrochemical reactors at lower temperatures of 60 to 80 degrees Celsius for efficient hydrogen storage and release.
