Judaism as Irreversible Ethnicity

Judaism can be regarded as an ethnicity rather than a religion, making it an intrinsic part of someone's identity that can't be escaped. Even non-practicing, atheist Jews still carry their Jewish identity akin to being part of a family; a lifelong connection that remains even if not actively engaged.
