NOTE

Balancing Cholesterol for a Healthy Liver

Excess cholesterol is harmful as it can lead to the crystallization of cells and cause fatty liver, which can damage the liver over time. To address this, the liver stops expressing LDL receptors to limit cholesterol intake, worsening the situation. To encourage the liver to produce more LDL receptors and clear APOB particles, the hepatic cholesterol pool should be depleted through methods like statins or benpedoic acid to halt synthesis and azetamide to prevent absorption. Monitoring hyperabsorption or hypersynthesis of cholesterol is crucial for liver health, as every cell in the body produces cholesterol.
