Facing Our Own Injustices
We all have been perpetrators of injustices at some point, whether big or small, by our actions like punishing someone due to our own frustrations or ignoring those in need. Recognizing our own guilt in various forms can help us forgive others, as we realize that we are not so different from them. Adam Smith suggests the concept of the impartial spectator, a neutral observer outside ourselves, to help us view our actions objectively and see our true selves.
