NOTE

Human Adaptation and Custodianship of Local Ecologies

Humans have a unique superpower of adaptation, allowing them to thrive in diverse and constantly changing ecologies. They have historically adapted to living in various environments such as tundra, desert, forest, and ocean. As humans interact with new ecologies, there may be initial disturbance, but surviving cultures often become custodians and caretakers of these local environments. In some cultures, individuals are born into custodian roles for specific creatures and are responsible for nurturing and ensuring the well-being of those creatures within the environment. This custodial role includes monitoring the movements and thriving of the creatures, as well as deciding when it is appropriate for others to consume them.
