MTTR, or Mean Time to Restore, is a metric that measures how long it takes to recover from failure. However, instead of focusing on overall recovery time, we now look specifically at software delivery performance. We ask how long it takes to recover from a deployment that causes an issue. This change in perspective has led to a new term: change failure recovery time or failed deployment recovery time.
