A study involving 15,000 individuals from 80 countries reveals that true happiness is more closely tied to being present in the moment rather than engaging in specific activities or attaining wealth. Participants who maintained focus on their current experience reported higher levels of happiness, while those whose minds wandered or multitasked experienced lower happiness levels, indicating the importance of mindful awareness in enhancing overall well-being.
