Unions have two major disadvantages. First, they often have high dues that can be misused by corrupt leadership. Some unions have also been bureaucratic, corrupt, or racist, while others have shown commitment to racial solidarity. However, unions have faced conflicts and criticism from both members and the public. The biggest challenge for unions is the opposition they face from governments and corporations, although not all governments are against unions.
