Dollar General's rapid growth has made it a dominant player, especially in smaller towns. With over 19,000 locations nationwide, compared to Walmart's 5,000, it has become a go-to retailer for basic needs. However, even with its success, the regional manager expressed shock at the difficulties in securing funding for maintenance and upkeep.
