Approaches to improve gut health and prevent leaky gut
The most cost-effective approach to improve gut health and prevent leaky gut is to remove substances that may be damaging the gut, such as bilacid supplements, alcohol, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and gluten for those with a propensity for celiac disease. After removing damaging substances, supplementation with galacto-oligosaccharide prebiotic, bifidobacteria species probiotics, and glutamine is recommended. Additionally, consuming foods containing beneficial substances and avoiding highly processed foods and pacifiers can also contribute to gut health.
