Silence as a teacher can be really useful, especially when you are eliciting. You don't take them all by the hand and just pull them through a lesson where you're just like talking and dictating to them. In the early days of teaching, one of the first things that really clicked with me was, well, you don't have to be speaking all the time. It's not the case. And i think it's really important to know.
