Girls often suffer from internalizing disorders like anxiety and depression, turning difficulties inwards, making themselves miserable. Boys, on the other hand, tend to exhibit externalizing disorders, engaging in violent behavior, deviant behavior, and substance use when facing psychological issues. While both genders are experiencing an increase in depression rates, the impact is greater for girls with rates as high as 20%, compared to 7% for boys.
