Forms of Moral Obligation

There are forms of moral obligation that can be felt and acted upon superrogatorily, beyond what is expected. These obligations can relate to unwritten rules and reflect a sense of moral purity. However, when moral obligations shift towards moralism, they become a statement of status, indicating one's moral superiority over others' compromisedness or solidness.
