NOTE

Biomechanical Differences in Foot Strike Impact

The impact of foot strike varies between regular and minimal shoes. In minimal shoes, the strike is less forceful and with a lower slope. Foot strike in conventional shoes leads to greater loads on the achilles and calf due to a more pronounced plantar flexion, generating higher anterior posterior forces. Additionally, the foot position during impact, such as pointing toes and pushing forward onto the ground, creates a significant breaking force in the medialateral direction.
