Aristotle's Natural Order

The concept of a natural order has evolved over time, but traces of Aristotelian ideas still remain. In his view, the universe had a geocentric structure with a moral and natural order. Christian beliefs incorporated this idea with heaven above and hell below. According to Aristotle, the natural order was a hierarchy of worth, ranging from inanimate objects to God, based on the presence and type of soul.
