Chasing Scratch: A Golf Podcast

NOTE

Narrow Shot Pattern Allows Aggressiveness in Golf

Maximize chances of putting the ball on the green to reduce the number of strokes. As you improve, your shot pattern gets smaller, enabling you to be more aggressive. Aim for the middle of the green from 200 yards, but aim for the hole from 80 yards since it's a scoring opportunity. Move your target continuously closer to the hole as you get closer. A smaller shot pattern allows for more aggressive play as bad misses won't significantly impact your game.
