Seeking Representation and Building Relationships in the Film Industry

It's not something that people should worry about as nearly as much as they do./nI think also, one thing that will happen is you finally get a project that's slightly bigger or like a movie and you're like, oh, I need someone to negotiate this for me. That's a great time to go speak to an agency and be like, hey, even if you don't rep me, will you negotiate this movie and then you start building that relationship?/nEven that, I feel like I also think we were always trying to outsmart the system and say, well, maybe if I just shoot, I need the car stuff in my reel or I need like beauty stuff in my reel, I need to look more well-rounded./nThere are so many DPs now. It's a very different world than when we were young. Now everyone's kind of a DP and everyone's work can look really good because the cameras all look really good./nAgents and directors are looking for a unique voice. Just focus on making work that you believe in and that feels the most personal possible./nHow do you stand out in this day and age when everyone's a DP?
