Acknowledging ADHD Symptoms in Memory Clinics

The existence of syndromic and symptomatic ADHD is highlighted, where even if a person does not exhibit a specific number of symptoms, their impairment could qualify them for ADHD diagnosis. A study found that at least one out of five memory clinics in the United States failed to diagnose patients with ADHD, neglecting to consider ADHD symptoms as a factor in cognitive difficulties. The research also indicated that both men and women exhibited similar ADHD symptoms, with no significant difference in inattention and hyperactive impulsive symptoms between genders.
