For instance, producing one salmon for market requires 120 anchovies, which could be consumed by people, highlighting that claims of sustainable practices may be flawed. Similarly, octopuses require three times their weight in feed to reach harvest weight, complicating assumptions about their feed efficiency, especially since they are known to be selective eaters.
