Temptation Is Not Sin

Experiencing temptation does not equate to sinning; it is a separate experience that can be differentiated from inward desires. While external temptations may come from the enemy, internal desires can lead one astray, as highlighted in the New Testament. Jesus, although sinless, faced temptation in His human life, demonstrating that temptation itself cannot be sinful. This understanding is liberating, promoting self-compassion rather than harsh self-judgment when confronted with unwanted desires.
