Perception of Colors Explained
The way we perceive colors is based on the wavelengths of light and how they interact with the rods and cones in our eyes. While orange and green appear as mixtures of other colors because their wavelengths lie between them on the spectrum, violet appears as a mix of red and blue despite not lying in between due to the way our eyes process light. This phenomenon highlights the intersection of physics and biology in explaining color perception.
