Higher expense ratios for international funds compared to VTSAX
International funds have higher expense ratios compared to VTSAX, with Vanguard's international funds being approximately three times more expensive. Despite the low expense ratios on international funds, they are still more costly than VTSAX. However, owning VTSAX provides exposure to approximately 3,600 US companies, including virtually every publicly traded company, with the majority being large companies in the US that are inherently international due to their global operations.
