For instance, i think i've been at the top five % of my age, corherd, almost all my adult life in understanding the power of incentives./nAnd yet, i've always underestimated that power./nNever a year passes, but i get some surprises that pushes, pushes a little further my appreciation of incentive super power./nSo it talks about quoting ben franklin and poor richard's almanach. This maxim is a wise guide to a great and simple precaution in life, never ever think about something else when you should be thinking about the power of incentives./nPerhaps the most important rule in management is, get the incentives right. Incentives or super powers./nAnd i love this. Tis good old school wisdom. He calls this granni's rule. Grannie's rule provides another example of reward super power so extreme in its effects that it must be mentioned, you can successfully manipulate your own behavior with this rule. Granny's rule, to be specific, is the requirement that children eat their carrots before they get dessert./nGiven reward super power, this practice is wise and sound./nThe main take away from the conversation is that, with reward super power, it is possible to successfully manipulate one's own behavior.
