Encourage your kids to do hypothesis testing

Encourage your children to come up with ideas and test them. Don't just give them answers. Ask them how they think things work and have them come up with their own ideas. Then challenge them to come up with another idea and think about how to test it. The goal is to teach them to be independent thinkers and not rely on others for answers.
