Consequences of Disobedience and Renewal of Covenant

The consequence of the disobedience of the men of war from Egypt was 40 years of wandering in the wilderness until they perished, and the new generation, their children, inherited the promised land. Joshua circumcised the new generation, and once healed, they encamped in Gilgal where the Lord removed the reproach of Egypt. Subsequently, they observed the Passover and consumed the produce of the land.
