Using HD Home Run to Watch Cable TV on Your Network
In order to have cable channels at home, I initially had an over-the-air antenna and an HD home run. This allowed me to watch and record videos from over-the-air channels. However, I wanted to access cable channels as well, so I obtained an HD home run with a cable card. The cable card, resembling a PCMCIA card, authorizes me to watch cable TV on my network. I use the channels app as a network DVR, which is available on various platforms and works great.
