Instead of saying 'I am sad,' we should acknowledge that sadness is just a part of who we are. By recognizing our thoughts, emotions, and stories as separate from our core identity, we create space for other aspects of ourselves to come forward. We are not defined by a single emotion or experience; we are like the sky, capable of experiencing and choosing who we want to be in each moment. Emotional agility allows us to move into this space of self-definition. It's important to share this perspective with others to help change the tides of our mental health.
