To effectively create change in others, the key is to become their ally rather than their critic. Approaching the situation with a mindset and behavior of support rather than criticism is crucial. By avoiding giving unsolicited advice, criticizing, and becoming frustrated, one can prevent backfiring attempts at change. Instead, building a supportive allyship fosters a positive environment for growth and development. Changing someone by attacking or creating conflict is unlikely to yield the desired results, as individuals typically do not respond positively to being attacked.
