The Cost of Transitioning

Navigating adolescence is difficult for everyone, but for those who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, it can be even harder. Finding acceptance, community, and a sense of identity is crucial during this time, and for some, transitioning and finding their true selves is part of that journey. But what happens when they realize later on that it wasn't the right path for them? They risk losing their entire identity, community, and mission that they've built around it. The idea of losing all of this is overwhelming, and it's why discussions about gender and sexuality can be so charged. We must find a way to support and empower these individuals without stripping away their sense of self.
