Reflections on Solitude, Responsibility, and Pushing Limits in the Wilderness

As I enter my thirties, I'm discovering a new way to connect with the world and myself. While I still enjoy being alone, I now appreciate sharing experiences with my family. However, there's a different kind of fear that comes with bringing a child along - the responsibility of keeping them safe. I've had trips where I've been sick with worry, but I've learned to strike a balance between adventure and safety. Even though it can be scary, some of the best trips are those that push us to our limits. Now, with my kids here, I feel a sense of safety being with you. Although I still have concerns, I know we can handle it. Let's embrace the sounds of rain and make it a part of our meditation.
