Ansel Keys faked all of the data in his research on heart disease and fat, and this was all done to promote the idea that fat was a dangerous food and would kill you if you ate it.
However, this research was later found to be fake and Keys was exposed as a fraud.
Now, doctors can use scans to learn more about diseases and how to treat them, without having to cut people open.
