Integrity vs. Despair in Adult Development

In adult development, reaching integrity in the later stages of life does not simply mean not lying but integrating all aspects of oneself, such as introvert/extrovert, wise/curious, gravitas/levity, yin/yang, masculine/feminine. This integration leads to a complete and whole presence as one grows older, compared to the compartmentalization experienced in youth.
