Modern Wisdom

NOTE

Intelligence, Learning, and Rate of Change in Behavior

Intelligence is the rate of learning, which is essentially the ability to quickly change behavior in response to new experiences. If you continue to do the same thing when faced with the same circumstances, it means you haven't learned anything. To be smart, you need to adapt and change your behavior. So, when you encounter a familiar situation, like a red card, ask yourself if you're going to get slapped (stuck in your old ways) or duck (learn and evolve). By constantly learning and adapting, you prove that you're intelligent. That's why I'm willing to cut relationships if I know they're not going to last, as I want to start enjoying the benefits of moving on as soon as possible.
