Acknowledging and being present for the various feeling states such as joy, sorrow, restlessness, and sleepiness is crucial. In some Buddhist traditions, even sleepiness is respected as a natural phenomenon. The practice involves recognizing and knowing the different energies that arise within us, whether they are sad, joyful, awake, or sleepy. The essence lies in being fully aware of and present with our feelings, not denying or avoiding them.
