The Unsettling History of Washington
In a surprising turn of events, the British troops are forced to surrender and hand over their weapons. Despite the un-sporting end, Washington throws a party for the senior officers, except for one disliked officer. However, Washington later issues an order to return the slaves who joined the British to their owners, which unsettles historians. This is not surprising considering the slave society Washington lived in. The American cause expected this action, although the dirty economies varied in different states.
