Intentions Matter: Defining Racism Requires Self-Reflection
Attributing selfish acts like cutting in line to racism is an unreasonable leap of logic. Such behavior is a common inconvenience, not inherently linked to racial motivations. Many sidestep calling out this flaw due to fears of being labeled as racist apologists. This leads to a culture where the offended party wields disproportionate power over interpretation, undermining self-determination and reasonable discourse about racism.
