Is There an Upper Class Now That You Can Fall Out Of?
I think we didn't hit hard enough on income inequality, which I prefer to call income stratification. The idea that there is an upper class now that you can fall out of and that it's pretty hard to stay in unless you are super, super wealthy. That seems to be affecting every aspect of our society as well. But I wanted to get Kate's opinion on what role she thinks that plays. So should we jump to that question now? I seem to have accidentally done this by saying "so let's do it" A lot of the time parents act with a cold, calculating rationality when in a lot of cases we're acting out of a big sense of panic.
