Genghis Khan (Part 2)
How to Take Over the World
Genghis Khan's Efficient Army and Fast Movements
Genghis Khan's army was unique and efficient. They were all cavalry, with each soldier having three horses. This allowed them to move quickly and cover long distances. They didn't have to live off the land because they could milk their horses. By dividing their army and strategically navigating grasslands, they ensured they didn't overfeed or deplete resources. When facing a big conflict, they could quickly regroup for a stronger force. They defeated the gin in a series of small battles, despite being outnumbered. The gin had a slower, more traditional army with infantry and long supply chains. Overall, the Mongol army's speed, self-sufficiency, and unique tactics gave them a significant advantage.
