NOTE

Nested R Hat - What Would It Do?

Nested R hat looks at the variance of your estimates within a chain and asks, are those similar? You would expect the within chain variance to be smaller because if you don't have the convergence, then things aren't moving around. And nested our hat, the idea is we sort of combine, we assume we have a bunch of chains, we combine them into what we call super chains which are all initialized at the same point or near the same point.
