The Impact of Movement Restrictions on Palestinian Workers in the West Bank
In my book, there is a character named Abed Salama who gets trapped in Anata due to road closures. The economy of the West Bank suffers as Palestinian workers are unable to go to their jobs in Israel and the settlements. Even when the town opens up, people still can't go to work due to settler violence on the roads. It feels like the second intifada with towns being closed down and movement restricted.
