Richard Feynman received his own obituary from the LA Times and was disappointed to find that it mentioned his reputation for skirt chasing. He had played up this image to show that scientists aren't just nerds, but he regretted going too far. Feynman couldn't change the obituary because the LA Times had refused. In February 1988, Feynman passed away with his family by his side, and his last words were 'I'd hate to die twice, it's so boring.' A blackboard with the message 'What I cannot create I do not understand' was found after his death, reflecting his love for building things from scratch.
