Organisms need to maintain a balance between robustness and adaptability in order to be viable./nHeterogeneity allows for the exploration of new things while maintaining the existing functionality./nThis balance is important in order to prevent the most important elements from breaking down.
How do we get a handle on complex systems thinking? What are the implications of this science for philosophy, and where does philosophical tradition foreshadow findings from the scientific frontier?
