But sometimes, amid all the sign-ups and student activities fairs, something much deeper is happening beneath the surface.During her Friday evening Shabbat sermon, Rabbi Dana Saroken shares a conversation she recently had with the parent of a college student who explained that their child had joined a “Shabbat Club”… only to learn that there was no club at all. The student was simply observing Shabbat.
